Alerting
The alerting system of Cloud Seeker enables real-time identification of four main types of anomalies:
- Peaks: Represents an unexpected excessive expenditure. The tool analyzes the behavior of each cost center based on the historical data of the last 3 months and determines whether the cumulative cost of the last week is excessive or not.
- Forgotten: Identifies cost centers whose spending is continuously increasing without negative fluctuations but remaining below the Peaks thresholds. These anomalies are similar to situations where a VM is forgotten to be deactivated, thus continuing to consume resources albeit modestly.
- Triple: Includes cost centers whose current month’s cumulative spending exceeds three times the total monthly spending of three months ago.
- Fraud protection: Identifies spending spikes every 4 hours on each cost center, considering their typical behavior.
IT Automation
The main causes of cloud waste are unused and idle cloud resources, especially in non-production test/development environments. Cloud Seeker’s IT automation helps you effectively manage cloud resources, reducing cloud costs for non-productive resources. Idle resources are automatically stopped when not in use and can also trigger user-defined actions.
Cloud Cost Forecasting
The forecasting feature provides the opportunity to right-size cloud resources to reduce costs and improve infrastructure performance based on historical usage trends.
Granular Spending Visualization and Analysis
The expense analysis feature provides cost breakdowns by service, account, region, component, resource, and instance type. When selecting a specific BU from the dashboard, you can view the total accrued cost, maximum spending account, and minimum spending account.

Cloud Seeker is natively integrated with the Xautomata infrastructure monitoring system to provide precise analysis of cloud spending based on the type of resource used and to eliminate false positives in calculating spending on individual providers.
